Rattlesnake Specials - Texas Blues Single Coils

The Rattlesnake Specials are based on the legendary 59's preferred by a certain iconic Texas boogie and blues artist who left us way too soon.
This set is designed to help us mere mortals capture some of the spark that lit a fire of blues resurgence back in the eighties. 
Period correct heavy Formvar magnet wire, wound a bit lighter, that’s right, Stevie’s favorite stock 1959 pickups were not extra hot! With less winds you get more clarity across the frequency spectrum. 

With the same vintage spec’d materials including AlNiCo A5 magnets, cloth pushback wire and vulcanized fiber bobbins. The middle pickup is reverse wound, reverse polarity for hum cancelling in the 2 and 4 switch positions. If you prefer that all the pickups have the same wind direction and polarity like the originals, just tell us when you place the order.
