P & J Bass "Mini Pot" Dual Tone Pre-Wired Harness

Regular price $73.00 Sale

The best of both basses, two tone voices, and it fits where standard pots won't. The Sonic Pickups P&J Bass Mini Pot Dual Tone Pre-Wired Harness gives you independent volume control for your P and J pickups, a shared master tone with a pull-up second cap voice — all in a compact form factor built for non-USA-spec routing.

What's Inside

  • Bourns 250k solid short-shaft mini pots (x2) — smooth, consistent volume taper (Neck Volume, Bridge Volume)
  • Bourns 250k solid DPDT mini push/pull pot (x1) — switches between two capacitor voices with a simple pull
  • WIMA .047µF 63v box capacitor (x1) — classic P Bass-style tone rolloff; crisp and focused
  • WIMA .1µF 63v box capacitor (x1) — engaged when the tone pot is pulled up; warmer and fuller
  • Switchcraft #11 mono jack (x1) — bulletproof output, made in the USA
    or
  • Pure Tone mono jack (x1) — multi-contact design for a more secure cable connection
  • Gavitt cloth pushback wire in black, white & yellow — period-correct and flexible

The Dual Tone Feature

Tone pot down: Standard .047µF rolloff — familiar, focused, and punchy.
Tone pot up: .1µF cap engaged — warmer, fuller, and darker for a rounder vintage voice.

Who It's For

Basses made outside the US are often routed for smaller pots. This harness solves that — premium parts and expanded tone control, no routing required.

Compatibility

Designed for P&J Bass-style instruments with non-USA-spec pot cavities. Works with standard USA-sized knobs. Select your output jack preference and include your bass's make, model, country of manufacture, and handedness in your order notes so we can confirm fit before shipping.

Drop-In Installation

No point-to-point soldering required. Simply connect your pickups and output jack — most players complete the install in under 30 minutes. View Wiring Diagram.
