A unique pickup in the humbucker family but with a brighter, more open top end. First available in 1963. The Firebird® pickup is a hybrid that bridges both worlds of humbucker’s and single coils.

We chose to stick with a vintage style wind for the neck and a bit hotter wind for the bridge. The versatility of these baby’s will keep you jamming for hours on end. The "Firebird" name is trademarked Gibson Brands, Inc.
