Bar Fighter humbucker pickup.

Bar Fighter - Humbucker

Regular price $170.00 Sale

Erupting from the mean streets of the Pasadena party scene in the late 1970's, this humbucker set is a hot vintage to medium/high gain rocker! This set will unchain you from the same old sound allowing you to play with all the fretboard gymnastics you can tap out!

Like all our pickups, it is hand wound using only the best durable modern poly coated copper magnet wire with a pure nickel baseplate, brass screws and a special cast AlNiCo 5 magnet in the neck and AlNiCo 2 in the bridge. We hand wind these, like all our pickups, for a unique and versatile tone.

Neck 7.9k DCR
Bridge 14k DCR

Hot Vintage/High Output.

Compatibility

Fits any guitar with standard humbucker routing — Les Paul, SG, ES-335, "S" style, and most other double-humbucker guitars. Available in standard and tremolo (trem) spacing.

Wiring Guide

Not sure which wire type to choose? Four Conductor is recommended if you want coil-splitting or coil-tapping capability. Vintage 2 Conductor is ideal for traditional wiring with no switching mods. Check our wiring diagram page for wiring instructions.

Probably the most balanced bridge humbucker ever!

This is probably the most balanced pickup in the bridge position that I have ever played. I was looking for a bridge pickup that wouldn't be overly bright and "ice-pickey". When Mike recommended this pickup to me, as well as what the pickup build was designed to be for (EVH), I knew I had to try it. He was absolutely right! It is a very balanced and full pickup, without being overly bright in the bridge position. I seems to be full with great bass and mid-range, but still pulls desirable brightness into the mix as well (especially if I want to accent some pinch harmonics - no loss there at all!). This is easily the best bridge humbucker I have experienced so far, in my opinion. It covers anything from blues, classic rock, all the way up to high gain metal. You will LOVE this pickup!
